DOJ misses deadline to hand over Special Counsel transcript

The DOJ has failed to turn over the transcript of President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur.

This comes weeks after Hur announced he would not bring charges against Biden for mishandling classified documents – saying the president’s severe memory problems would make it hard to convict. Hur says during their interview that Biden forgot the dates of his vice presidency and when his son Beau died.

The House Judiciary and Oversight Committees requested the transcripts shortly after the report was released and gave a deadline of Feb. 19. The deadline has now come and gone and the committees are still waiting.

A Judiciary Committee spokesperson told the Daily Caller: “We haven’t received what we requested and everything is on the table as to what is next.” They said the committees will soon follow up on the request.
