Dozens of potential jurors dismissed in Trump trial

Jury selection resumed today in the New York criminal trial against former President Donald Trump.

This is the case in which he’s accused of misusing campaign finances to cover up an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels. Dozens of potential jurors have already been ruled out in a process that could take up to two weeks. Trump’s attorneys say it’s going to be a challenge to find unbiased jurors.

Trump says it’s not just bias from the jury team Trump has to be worried about. Yesterday, Judge Juan Merchan granted the protector’s request to hold a separate contempt hearing against Trump for allegedly violating a gag order. At the same time, the judge also says the trial could play out where Trump would have to miss his son’s high school graduation.
