Egypt builds wall on border crossing ahead of Rafah assault

In light of new Israeli attacks on Rafah, Egypt is making it clear that it does not want Palestinian refugees flooding in.

And now Egyptians are putting their money where their mouth is. New satellite images show Egypt is building a massive wall along its border with southern Gaza.

Maxar Technologies images show the miles-wide buffer zone, which spans the Egyptian-Rafah border, being bulldozed. At the actual border, multiple cranes can be seen laying sections of wall, which is said to be 16 feet high.

This comes as more than half of Gaza’s population is sheltering in Rafah. The Israeli military continued its siege on Rafah’s largest functioning hospital earlier today in pursuit of Hamas terrorists and Israeli hostages.
