Elon Musk is facing an intense backlash that’s seen multiple big spenders yank ads from his social media platform.
He’s accused of backing an antisemitic post on X. In his retweet of the post, the CEO implied that the Anti-Defamation League fuels anti-white sentiments among Jewish communities.
X is also accused by liberal watchdog group Media Matters of placing paid advertisements next to pro-Nazi content. The platform rejects that this is a normal occurrence and says the organization aggressively trained its algorithm to ensure a positive user experience.
But large companies are still boycotting X in response. Apple, Disney, and IBM are just a few who have pulled their ads. Musk is now threatening a lawsuit against Media Matters.
