Episcopal Church endorses gender mutilation of children

With no biblical support whatsoever, the Episcopal Church is reportedly espousing what it calls “gender-affirming care” of children, and what many biblical Christians refer to as child mutilation and abuse.

The radically anti-biblical stance was ratified in July by the denomination as a resolution from the Episcopal House of Deputies, known as Resolution DO66. The resolution reads, in part,

Resolved, that the 80th General Convention calls for the Episcopal Church to advocate for access to gender affirming care in all forms (social, medical, or any other) and at all ages as part of our Baptismal call to “respect the dignity of every human being”; and be it further; Resolved, that the 80th General Convention affirms that all Episcopalians should be able to partake in gender affirming care with no restriction on movement, autonomy, or timing; and be it further Resolved, that the 80th General Convention understands that the protection of religious liberty extends to all Episcopalians who may need or desire to access, to utilize, to aid others in the procurement of, or to offer gender affirming care; and be it further Resolved, that this 80th General Convention supports public policies at the local, state, and national levels in all our countries to support gender affirming care.

This would include all types of gender mutilation, including castration of young boys and mutilation of young girls that will destroy their chances of ever having children.

While the denomination is claiming that this resolution is pushed as an act of love and tolerance, Bible-believing Christians discern this for what it is – a horrific act of abuse against children who, in their infantile minds, often do not know what is best for themselves.

This is the latest in a long line of decisions by the Episcopal Church to side with the secular trends of the time over clear biblical edict and church tradition. Earlier this summer, the domination also affirmed support for abortion amongst its congregants, regardless of timing or reason.

The Episcopal Church, much like the United Methodist Church, is also several years into a fight between the established leadership, which supports gay marriage and even openly homosexual clergy, and churches seeking to leave the denomination in order to adhere to a biblical view of marriage between one man and one woman.

Author’s and Editor’s note:

This resolution is an outrage and should serve for true Christians as a severe warning against rejecting the true commandments of scripture. What is most outrageous is that this is happening not in public schools or secular venues, but in an institution that claims to be part of the Universal Church. Those who claim to be Christians are the ones propagating this godlessness, and true Christians must speak out against it.

This resolution is entirely inconsistent with the divine Word of God. It harms, devalues, and abuses children. It seeks to bow to the whims of an increasingly perverse generation while simultaneously forsaking biblical fidelity, and it serves as an outright rebellion against the God who created mankind as male and female (Genesis 1:27, 5:2).

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2).
