European officials have been on high alert for Islamic extremism, and now they’re arresting alleged Hamas operatives for plotting terror attacks.
German prosecutors arrested four men yesterday for planning attacks on Jewish institutions in Europe. Three were arrested in Berlin while a fourth was detained in the Netherlands.
The officials say all four are closely linked to the leadership of Hamas’s armed wing, which was ordered to move weapons to Berlin for potential terrorist attacks. But they say this plan predates the horrific October 7 attack on Israel.
Hamas previously concealed a weapons cache somewhere in Europe. That location was reportedly lost because prosecutors say the men first began searching for it in early 2023.
German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann wrote on X that he wants to “ensure that Jews in our country do not have to fear for their safety again.”
Separately, Denmark says they foiled a terror attack on Jewish institutions yesterday. Danish police arrested three more men accused of working for Hamas.
