It looks like the newest round of COVID-19 shots is here as the FDA just announced two new booster shots Monday.
The agency greenlit the new shots for people as young as 6 months; and the federal government has even put a “bridge program” in place to cover the costs of these boosters for those without health insurance.
This comes as three new Covid variants have made headlines in recent weeks. Virus trackers online are calling them “Eris,” “Fornax,” and a highly mutated strain called “Pirola.” All three strains exhibit symptoms similar to the common cold and flu.
Meanwhile, mask mandates may be coming down the line again, as schools are beginning to implement programs more than three years after the initial lockdowns began.
