Fed signals future rate cuts, sending DOW to record high

by ian

The DOW Jones broke records yesterday – jumping over 500 points to close above 37,000 for the first time. It comes in reaction to the Fed’s announcement that it would not be raising interest for the rest of the year and might cut rates in 2024.

New inflation data shows prices rose 3.1% year-over-year in November – still above the Fed’s 2% target rate but a major drop from June’s rate of 9%.
