Federal Reserve leaves rates alone but signals future hike

The Federal Reserve voted to hold interest rates steady Wednesday but signaled that future hikes are on their way.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell announced the unchanged range of 5.25% to 5.5%. This comes as Inflation accelerated in August to 3.7%, driven largely by soaring gas prices.

Thursday morning, Financial Issues host Shana Burt suggested Powell might be holding his cards close to his chest.
