The first mail-in ballots for the 2024 election are making their way to voters in Alabama, officially kicking off voting for this year’s presidential election.
Mail-in voting was supposed to be already underway in the swing state of North Carolina but the process was delayed after a court ruled that ballots must be reprinted to remove the option Robert F Kennedy Jr.
RFK suspended his campaign last month and endorsed Donald Trump. He’s been fighting ever since to get his name off the ballot in key swing states, but it’s been an uphill battle in some cases. Last week, the Michigan Supreme Court ruled his name will remain on the ballot in that state.
The next state to offer mail-in ballots is Wisconsin. Those ballots will be available on Sept. 19.
