Ford becomes latest company to walk back DEI policies

by ian

Ford Motor Company now says it’s taking “a fresh look” at its DEI policies.

In an internal email, Ford CEO Jim Farley said the company has withdrawn from the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, which ranks companies based on their commitment to LGBT causes.

The memo was leaked to conservative activist Robby Starbuck, who has been pressuring companies to abandon DEI initiatives. His campaigns have helped lead to policy reversals from major companies, including Lowes, John Deere and Harley-Davidson, among others.
