4 Christians charged with FACE Act violations over peaceful abortion protest

In Tennessee, four pro-life Christians are facing prison time for protesting at an abortion clinic.

They were found guilty of federal FACE act violations on Tuesday – in what their lawyers called massive overreach by the federal government. The charges were brought over a 2021 protest, when a group of pro-lifers prayed and sang hymns in a hallway outside an abortion center in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

They will be sentenced on July 30 and face up to six months in prison and thousands of dollars in fines.

This comes as six other demonstrators were convicted of similar violations along with civil rights conspiracy charges in January. They face over 10 years in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
