Franklin Graham, others blast Pope for same-sex blessing

Prominent evangelist Franklin Graham has strong words for Pope Francis.

The pope approved a measure allowing priests to bless same-sex couples, so long as it’s outside a wedding context. Graham posted on Facebook, “None of us, including the Pope, has the right to ‘bless’ what God calls sin. ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.”

Graham is one of countless voices speaking out against the pope’s decision, including some inside the Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald Murray of the Archdiocese of New York called the move “absurd” and “horrific” and said it’s part of what he calls a “revolutionary streak in Rome.”
