Vice President Kamala Harris closed out the DNC in Chicago last night, giving her acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination for president – only a month after President Joe Biden bowed out of the race.
During her speech, Harris presented herself as a tough-on-crime prosecutor and highlighted her time as California Attorney General while casting Donald Trump as lawless in light of his various legal troubles and the events surrounding January 6th.
Citing her background in law enforcement, Harris also said she’s better suited to handle the border crisis than Trump – despite record illegal immigration under the Biden-Harris administration – and vowed to revive a failed Senate border deal.
