Harris introduces VP pick Walz in first joint rally

Kamala Harris officially introduced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz her running mate last night, praising him as a champion of the middle class at a rally in Philadelphia.

The rally was opened by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who was widely expected to be named Harris’ running mate before yesterday. During his speech, Shapiro emphasized his Jewish faith, possibly in an attempt to shrug off speculation that he wasn’t picked for VP to appease the anti-Israel wing of the Democratic base.

Meanwhile, Gov. Walz spent a good portion of his speech attacking Donald Trump running mate JD Vance. Walz accused Vance of being out of touch with average Americans, despite Vance growing up in poverty-stricken Appalachia.

His comments come as Vance has been slamming Walz as a left-wing radical whose policies would harm the working class.
