Homeschooling increased exponentially last academic year

Homeschooling is now becoming the fastest-growing form of education across America.

According to a Washington Post poll, families from all kinds of backgrounds and locations are choosing homeschooling as their preferred education method.

The poll shows that what started as a pandemic-era solution has stuck around through the current academic year. The biggest growth happened in states like California, New York, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C.

According to the data, homeschooling trends have increased by 51% over the past six school years, compared to only a 7% growth in private school enrollments.

The Washington Post noted that the significant increase in homeschooling is a remarkable change in culture considering that 40 years ago homeschooling was still illegal in much of the country.
