House Democrats call on Biden to fix southern border crisis

House Democrats are calling on President Joe Biden to take executive action on the crisis at the southern border.

Fourteen Democrats signed a letter, saying the president has “all the tools at his disposal” to slow illegal immigration and fentanyl trafficking. The plea to restore order comes from mostly frontliners who are at risk of losing their seats in November. However, the group also blasted Republicans for failing to pass immigration reforms.

The White House said yesterday they have no new executive orders on the issue to announce. President Biden issued nearly 300 executive orders on immigration in his first year, which dismantled many Trump-era policies.
