House report: Biden’s monetary ‘conspiracy’ is ‘impeachable’

The impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden is in – and the results are certainly not in his favor.

A near 300-page report issued this morning by the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees states that Biden’s attempts “to enrich his family constitutes impeachable conduct. ”

The Executive Summary of the report reads:

…overwhelming evidence demonstrates that President Biden participated in a conspiracy to monetize his office of public trust to enrich his family. Among other aspects of this conspiracy, the Biden family and their business associates received tens of millions of dollars from foreign interests by leading those interests to believe that such payments would provide them access to and influence with President Biden.

A major focus of the evidence in the report specifically deals with Biden’s tenure as vice president, but specifically hones in on evidence from 2014 onward.

During this time, Biden’s son, Hunter, allegedly used his father’s name to gain favorable outcomes with some overseas business deals. Some whistleblowers claimed that Biden was sometimes a part of these deals, even attending dinners and being on phone calls with some of these foreign business partners.

Biden has claimed multiple times that he was unaware of anything involving his son and such deals, but the report says:

Based on the totality of the evidence, it is inconceivable that President Biden did not understand that he was taking part in an effort to enrich his family by abusing his office of public trust.

Not only that, but the report says that the Biden family was constantly trying “to conceal this conspiracy” with complicated foreign money transfers and money laundering techniques. All-in-all, the report says that Biden gained $27 million from these endeavors.

The report also states that both the White House and the Department of Justice worked to undermine the impeachment inquiry.

The White House “obstructed” the investigation, Republicans say, by denying certain materials – like audio from Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. The report says that the DOJ and FBI “afforded special treatment to President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden” in an effort to benefit the latter.

The “impeachable” behavior as laid out by these committees also taps into one of the impeachments of former President Donald Trump.

Citing the 2019 impeachment of then-President Donald Trump, the report states that a “precedent” was set that established “abuse of office” as an impeachable offense. That offense is defined as using “official power to obtain an improper personal benefit, while ignoring or injuring the national interest.”

The Republican-led House could take this measure and schedule an official vote of impeachment against Biden before the Nov. 5 election. However, even if it were to pass the House, it is unlikely to succeed in the Democrat-led Senate.
