House Republicans approve Biden impeachment inquiry

by ian

House Republicans voted yesterday to formalize an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

The House GOP opened the inquiry back in September, a move that was dismissed by Democrats as illegitimate without a formal vote. House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) says a formal inquiry will help speed the investigation into alleged corruption during Biden’s time as vice president.

Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) says Republicans are especially interested in speaking with DOJ tax lawyers Mark Daily and Jack Morgan. Jordan thinks Morgan and Daily participated in a cover-up to protect Biden.

President Biden has dismissed the inquiry as “a baseless political stunt.”
