The 2023 conservative report card for lawmakers is in, and it looks like Republicans have “generally failed to have any major positive effect in Congress.”
That’s according to CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp, who published the annual ratings scorecard. The report grades all lawmakers based on how they voted. Only 15 congressmen in the House gained a perfect score, including Jim Jordan of Ohio, Chip Roy of Texas, and Bob Good of Virginia.
The only Senator to receive 100% was Mike Lee of Utah. Schlapp noted, “Much of the year was wasted…letting the corrupt bureaucracy in the executive branch maintain its abusive authority.” And his remarks aren’t too much of a surprise, as Schlapp gave this speech at CPAC last month.
