House sets date for Hunter Biden public testimony

It looks like the closed-door part of the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden has come to a close, as House Republicans have scheduled a public hearing for later this month.

The House Oversight Committee asked Hunter Biden to testify, alongside Devon Archer, Jason Galanis, and Tony Bobulinski, but it is not immediately clear if Hunter intends to accept the invitation.

The first son initially said he would only testify publicly, but reversed course after lawmakers threatened to hold him in contempt of Congress. Now his lawyers are saying, “There’s nothing left to ask, answer, say, or do.” But Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) disagrees.

The public hearing is scheduled for March 20.
