Former President Donald Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris of spying on him yesterday.
The accusation follows a US intelligence report saying that Iranian hackers stole Trump campaign communications and emailed them to the Biden-Harris campaign. Trump reacted to the news on Truth Social saying,
The FBI caught Iran spying on my campaign and giving all of the information to the Kamala Harris campaign. Therefore she and her campaign were illegally spying on me.
According to a joint statement from US intelligence officials,
Iranian malicious cyber actors in late June and early July sent unsolicited emails to individuals then associated with President Biden’s campaign.
Those emails “contained an excerpt taken from stolen, non-public material from former President Trump’s campaign as text in the emails.” The Harris campaign told ABC News that “the materials were not used.” The White House says President Joe Biden wasn’t aware of the emails until this week.
