As Secretary of State Antony Blinken scurries to keep the war from expanding, Iran is now issuing threats over a lack of a ceasefire.
On Sunday, Iran’s defense minister warned that the U.S. would be “hit hard” if it does not pursue and implement a ceasefire in the conflict. The minister also called for America to “immediately stop the war in Gaza.”
The chilling threat comes as Iran-backed proxies continue attacking U.S. soldiers stationed in the Middle East. Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal told CNN on Sunday that they are introducing a bipartisan resolution calling for retaliation should any of these soldiers be killed.
