Iranian satellite strikes fears of ballistic missile improvement

by ian

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard allegedly launched a satellite into space on Saturday.

Iran says the launch was a success, however no other source has confirmed the legitimacy of their claim. An Associated Press video analysis has suggested that the launch took place at the Guard’s launch pad, about 215 miles east of Tehran.

This all comes as Iran has been enriching its uranium supplies and acting more aggressively toward Israel. The US had previously warned Iran to stop the development of any ballistic missiles that can carry nuclear weapons, as it went against a U.N. Security Council resolution.

However, the U.N.’s sanctions on Iran regarding its weapons program expired last October.
