The White House has some tough questions to answer after discovering a human trafficker with ISIS connections.
An explosive CNN report says the human smuggler brought more than a dozen migrants from Uzbekistan and other countries across the southern border. They passed Border Patrol’s screening process and were then released into the States.
Turkey uncovered the smuggling ring along with the terrorist group connection. The discovery was alarming enough to send an urgent classified file to the White House. Despite a flurry of intelligence meetings, the White House is now downplaying the risk to national security.
But not everyone is buying it. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre never circled back to answer that critical question.
Authorities haven’t yet identified or located all of the migrants.
