Israel discovers hundreds of terror tunnels in Rafah

Israel claims to have found hundreds of Hamas tunnels in the southern city of Rafah, including some crossing the border into Egypt. Israel’s deputy attorney general shared the news while speaking at the International Court of Justice last week.

He described Rafah as a “focal point for ongoing terrorist activity” and a “stronghold for Hamas’ operators.” Israel claims to have already destroyed multiple terror tunnels and killed dozens of Hamas militants since launching its operations in Rafah earlier in the month.

Israel’s defense minister says the military will expand operations in the city to keep the pressure on Hamas.
