Israel kills Hamas founder’s sons in airstrike

Hamas says the IDF killed their most senior leader’s three sons in an airstrike in Gaza on Wednesday.

The top official, Ismail Haniyeh, responded to the deaths by saying it would not “break the resolve of our people.” He said that so far, 60 members of his family have been killed in the war.

Israeli forces confirmed the death of the three sons, saying the men were Hamas military operatives. Haniyeh told Al Jazeera that Hamas’ mission will continue and that they will liberate Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.

At the same time, some are hoping that Israel’s move won’t hurt hostage negotiations.
