Israel launches strikes in Lebanon

Lebanese militants launched a rocket at an Israeli hospital earlier today, killing at least one person and injuring eight others. Israel responded with attacks of its own.

Since the start of its war with Hamas, Israel has traded fire with the terror group Hezbollah along its northern border almost daily – stoking fears of a broader regional war. Hezbollah, which allies itself with Hamas, says it will stop the attacks once there’s a ceasefire in Gaza.

Since the October 7th terror attack in Israel, almost 250 people have been killed in Lebanon the vast majority of whom were Hezbollah fighters. But that number also includes 30 civilians.

Meanwhile, Israel has lost nine soldiers and six civilians.
