Israel strikes Iran in response to weekend attacks

by Renata

Israel has struck back against Iran.

Early this morning, nearly a week since Iran’s unprecedented missile and drone attack, Israel conducted a limited strike inside Iran. According to reports, Israel struck military targets near the city of Isfahan, which is home to Iran’s largest nuclear research facility.

But despite repeated urging from military experts to take out Iran’s nuclear capabilities – the research facility apparently wasn’t the target. It’s believed Israel struck near an Iranian air base instead, though the full extent and damage is unknown.

The Times of Israel suggests Israel was targeting an air defense radar system located in the area. The strikes appear to have been conducted outside of Iranian airspace.
