Israeli cabinet members call for annexation of Gaza

The Washington Examiner reports that two Israeli officials are calling to annex Gaza and disperse the Palestinians amid doubts that Israel can defeat Hamas.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said at a rally that it is “moral” to “encourage the voluntary emigration of the residents of Gaza.” However, according to the UN and other Western nations, this move would violate international law.

Even some Israeli families said that Gvir’s hard-right influence on Netanyahu has been the reason why the hostages haven’t been released yet.

But Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi doesn’t agree. He said, “In order to preserve the security achievements for which so many of our troops gave up their lives for, we must settle Gaza, with security forces and with settlers.”
