Jewish students sue UCLA for allowing ‘Jew Exclusion Zone’ on campus

Fallout continues from the anti-Israel protests on college campuses. This week, a group of Jewish students filed a lawsuit against UCLA for failing to stop protesters from setting up what they described as a “Jew Exclusion Zone” on campus.

In April, demonstrators caused mass disruption at UCLA, setting up encampments and barring Jewish students from certain parts of the school.

The lawsuit says UCLA effectively segregated Jewish students by “preventing them from accessing the heart of campus, including classroom buildings and the main undergraduate library.”

They also say the school encouraged this behavior by telling security to “discourage unapproved students from attempting to cross through the areas blocked by the activists.” UCLA says it’s aware of the lawsuit and that it will “respond in due course.”
