Jordan’s king calls for ceasefire in Gaza War

The king of Jordan is appealing for an end to the war in Gaza.

President Joe Biden hosted King Abdullah yesterday for the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Jordan. The top leaders discussed the latest news from Gaza, including a stalled deal that calls for a six-week pause.

The White House stands firm on Israel’s right to defeat Hamas, but Jordan and the U.S. agree on Rafah. Biden says there should be no attacks on that city without a plan to ensure the safety of the more than 1 million people currently living there.
