FISM News reported earlier this year on the troubling arrest of former TLC star and Christian celebrity Joshua Duggar. Duggar has been at the front of Christian news headlines for the last decade for various concerning reasons. He was a public proponent of Christian values in the media while starring on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, but has also come under fire for sexual abuse against four of his younger sisters, which was revealed several years ago.

Earlier this year, the 33-year-old Duggar was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. Reports indicate that he had over 200 pornographic images in his possession showing children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years. The oldest son of the 19-sibling celebrity family, Duggar is also the father of six children and has another on the way.

Recent reports revealed that Duggar’s previously-delayed court hearing is set for November 30. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.

An additional report revealed that the four Duggar sisters whom he had abused are filing a lawsuit against the local police department in Arkansas for mishandling the situation when the sisters had first reported it back in 2006 when they were young girls. According to the testimony of Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy Duggar, someone in the police department had violated a guarantee of privacy in releasing their testimony of abuse to the public.

Initial arguments for this case will begin on December 9. FISM News will follow both of these troubling court cases as they proceed in the coming weeks.
