Four candidates took the stage last night for the fourth and final Republican primary debate of this year.
The knives were out for the former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as she’s received the endorsements of several big-dollar donors in recent days. Most of those attacks came from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie stuck to bashing former President Donald Trump, who spent the night at a Florida fundraiser instead. It’s unlikely last night’s debate will do much to impact the state of the race. Trump remains the far-and-away frontrunner, though DeSantis has sought to cast doubts upon the accuracy of the polls.
The next debate will take place on Jan. 10 in Des Moines, Iowa, less than a week before the Iowa caucuses. That will be followed by a debate in New Hampshire on the 21st. Both debates will be hosted by CNN.
