Martha’s Vineyard migrants given visas for being victims of ‘crime’

Dozens of illegal immigrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are receiving special visas for being a victim of an alleged crime.

They applied for the visas last year, claiming they were tricked into flying from Texas to Massachusetts. Their lawyer announced this week that they’ve been approved to find jobs while waiting for their visas.

A Democrat Texas county sheriff launched an investigation into the flights in late 2022, saying the migrants were “exploited and hoodwinked” into making the trip. DeSantis denies they were tricked, saying they signed waivers after being told where they were going.

The migrants were able to apply for the visas after helping the sheriff with his investigation.
