Michelle Obama is officially putting rumors to rest, confirming she will not be making a White House bid in 2024.
Media outlets have quietly been circulating the possibility of a run, as polls show President Joe Biden’s popularity is declining. And the former first lady might have fueled those rumors further during an interview in January.
But now Mrs. Obama is making her intentions clear. Her office gave the following statement to NBC News: “As former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president.”
The statement went on to reaffirm her support of Biden’s reelection campaign.
