Netanyahu spars with Biden over Gaza strategy

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing back on President Joe Biden’s criticism of his strategy in Gaza.

Following the State of the Union, Biden was caught on a hot mic saying he told Netanyahu they were going to have “a ‘come to Jesus’ moment” about the war.  Netanyahu responded later in the day, saying he was pursuing policies supported by the majority of the Israeli people.

The dispute comes as Netanyahu says he plans to go ahead with an invasion of the Southern Gaza city of Rafah, something Biden has called a “red line” because of its high volume of refugees. Netanyahu says his only red line is that October 7th never happens again.
