New video footage suggests Pentagon cover-up in Kabul bombing

New video footage suggests that the Pentagon covered up what happened during the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The video footage, obtained by CNN, shows 11 episodes of shooting after an explosion at the Kabul airport that took the lives of 13 US military members and 170 Afghans.

The Pentagon has claimed that the deaths were a result of a single explosion and the chaos that followed. But surviving US military members told CNN that’s not exactly what happened. One source said that he saw a “massive volume of gunfire” near the site of the explosion where US Marines were standing.

Two forensic experts reviewed the video as well and concluded that there were indeed multiple rounds of gunfire at the airport, confirming eyewitness accounts. The Pentagon insists that its initial analysis of the incident was correct.
