New York appeals court lowers Trump’s civil fraud bond to $175 million

Donald Trump saw a massive win earlier today.

State authorities were threatening to seize the former president’s assets as early as today if he couldn’t pay the nearly half a billion dollars of his civil fraud fines. But a New York appeals court earlier today paused the clock, giving Trump 10 days to post a $175 million bond instead.

Trump took to Truth Social to celebrate the decision, saying, “I did nothing wrong, and New York should never be put in a position like this again.” And GOP congressmen on the Hill largely agree, saying the precedent of Trump’s situation is dangerous for Americans as a whole.
