NY Gov. Kathy Hochul tells migrants to ‘go somewhere else’

by ian

A near-record-breaking number of illegal immigrants have been pouring across the border in recent days. Border data shows an average of 6,900 crossings per day this month.

The impact is being felt all across the country, but New York Gov. Kathy Hochul appeared on CNN this week to urge migrants to ‘go somewhere other than the Empire State.

It’s a stark reversal for the governor, who previously hailed New York as a sanctuary state.

This comes as New York City is struggling with the over 100,000 migrants arriving within the past year. Mayor Eric Adams says it’s a crisis that will “destroy” the city if left unaddressed.
