NY’s Adams floats housing migrants in churches, residences

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is proposing a new plan to house the thousands of migrants flooding his city, by turning to houses of worship.

The two-year partnership would see up to 50 churches offering shelter for up to 19 single adult men apiece.

This comes as over 72,000 illegal migrants have poured into the Big Apple. Over half of them are being housed in shelters and hotels using tax dollars.

Adams is also proposing paying private homeowners to house migrants. He says this would put taxpayer money back into the pockets of everyday New Yorkers.
