Hundreds of thousands of people continue flooding across the border.

According to the latest government data, over 241,000 illegal border crossers were apprehended in May – raising the number of apprehensions to over 2.2 million this fiscal year. The vast majority of illegal entries happened at the southwest border, but we also saw a record-breaking surge at the northern border as well.

Last month, more than 18,000 people tried to illegally cross from Canada into the US, the largest number for May on record. Also last month, over 44,000 people were processed through the government’s CBP One App.

The government has scheduled more than 630,000 migrant appointments since the app was launched in January of 2023.
