After two long weeks, law enforcement captured escaped murderer and illegal immigrant Danelo Cavalcante Wednesday.

Cavalcante broke out of the Pennsylvania, Chester County Prison two weeks ago by climbing between two walls in the jailhouse yard and then onto the roof. Police considered Cavalcante “armed and extremely dangerous” after he stole a gun.

A jury found Cavalcante guilty of first-degree murder in April 2021. He is also a suspect in a 2017 murder in his home country Brazil.

After his capture, Cavalcante was transferred to a state correctional facility to serve out his life sentence.
