Rainbow arches over covenant school on first day of chapel after shooting

The Covenant School received a bold reminder of God’s promises during the first church service held since a tragic mass shooting last month.

The Nashville-area school has been grieving since the loss of three students and three adults on March 27.

The usual community chapel service has been postponed until last Thursday.

But the congregation was awestruck by a brilliant rainbow in the sky before the service began. In the Bible, this serves as a promise of hope and faithfulness to humankind.

One parent, Dave Barnes, shared the powerful moment to his Instagram account, writing, “You can’t make this stuff up.”
