America’s exploding trans surgery and ‘treatment’ industry was valued at $1.9 billion in 2021 and is projected to reach $5 billion by the end of the decade, according to a new report from Grand View Research.

The analysis indicates that the demand for “gender-affirming operations” is poised to “accelerate in the coming years” as hospitals resume pre-pandemic nonemergency services. Gender dysphoria telehealth consultations are also “anticipated to have a beneficial impact on the growth of the market in the upcoming years.”

“The rising incidences of gender dysphoria and the increasing number of people opting for gender confirmation surgeries are expected to boost the growth during the forecast period,” the report explained.

The report refers to the rising “popularity” of sex surgeries “among the young transgender population in the U.S., as it helps people with gender dysphoria transition to their self-identified gender,” citing a New York Times report showing that one in five minors between the ages of 13 and 17 now identify as transgender, based on a UCLA Williams Institute study.

While some insurance companies are covering sex surgeries on minors, including breast removal and hysterectomies, the Grand View Research report shows that “government support is also driving the market” through Medicare coverage.

The report comes two weeks after The Daily Wire released a video showing a Nashville pediatric transgender clinic executive touting sex surgeries on minors as a “big money maker.” The remark made by Dr. Shayne Taylor, medical director at the Pediatric Transgender Clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, along with a separate video showing the clinic’s lawyer threatening religious objectors, prompted Tennessee Republican Gov. Bill Lee to launch a probe into the clinic.

House Republicans in the state also sent a formal request from the state’s House Republicans for Vanderbilt to cease and desist its “surgical mutilations” on minors.

The Grand Rapids report inadvertently underscores the level of deception used by pediatric hospitals in their efforts to cash in on the gender dysphoria craze, including the once-esteemed Boston Children’s Hospital, which falsely asserted that it did not perform trans surgeries on minors — until it got caught.

The hospital then scrambled to update its online transgender surgery policy, which had previously stated that surgeries like breast removal were available to 17 year olds.

For The Daily Wire, the Vanderbilt video was a serendipitous hiccup of sorts. It managed to survive the clinic’s purported efforts to remove any and all footage of conferences on the topic of medical interventions for transgender minors.

Hospitals and clinics offering trans surgeries apparently aren’t the only ones cashing in on gender dysphoria among America’s children. A 2019 report that appeared in The Standard indicated that affluent cultural powerhouses like George Soros have been profiting off the movement through investments in biomedical companies and “funding the transgender lobby and various transgender organizations,” anonymously through organizations like the Tides Foundation

The article explains that funneling money to LGBTQ causes through these organizations “creates a legal firewall and tax shelter for foundations and funds political campaigns, often using legally dubious tactics.”

The report states that “rich, white men with enormous cultural influence” and “pharmaceutical companies and the U.S. government,” have been investing in the LGBTQ movement for at least two decades. At the time of the report, global spending on transgenderism was estimated to be around $424 million.

“This huge spike in funding happened at the same time transgenderism began gaining traction in American culture,” the report states.
