Rescue efforts continue in Morocco; Christian groups send aid

by ian

Morocco is still reeling from the devastating 6.8 earthquake that leveled entire villages last week.

Rescue operations are running into severe obstacles. Workers have that the building material for homes in the villages are not conducive to survival.

The death toll is now over 2,900 and is rising.

But Christian organizations are on the ground, providing survivors with much-needed aid.

Convoy of Hope is sending food, clean water, hygiene supplies, shelter, blankets, and generators. Meanwhile, Operation Blessing is mobilizing a team that will distribute solar-powered lights and water filtration equipment.

The support is also spiritual, as Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham took to Facebook to encourage believers that our prayers are powerful and effective during a crisis like this.
