Ronna McDaniel already out from NBC following outcry

After heavy internal criticism, MSNBC announced it has parted with former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel.

The news outlet let her go only days after she was hired as a political analyst. NBCUniversal News Group Chairman Cesar Conde explained the decision in a memo, “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned. Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”

MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid responded with gratitude to Conde, saying he did “the right thing.”

But not everyone is happy with how the situation was handled. A source told Deadline that McDaniel is looking into potential legal action against the media company.
