Schumer announces ‘No Kings Act’ targeting immunity ruling

by ian

Earlier this week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced a bill that targets the legal defense used by President Donald Trump in recent criminal cases. In a statement, Schumer announced the No Kings Act, which would “clarify” that the Constitution does not grant legal immunity to presidents for official acts committed while in office.

In a later interview on MSNBC, Schumer further criticized the Supreme Court and its ruling.

The bill currently has 34 Democrat co-sponsors.
