The Senate is getting closer to passing its $95 billion aid package for Israel and Ukraine. In a rare Sunday vote, the chamber advanced the bill by a count of 67-27, a result that received praise from party leaders.
But there was some Republican pushback. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah tried and failed to start the amendment process after filibustering on Saturday for four hours. He and other conservatives say Congress needs to secure the border before helping Ukraine.
A final vote could happen as soon as this week.
