A Texas man was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years on probation for trying to induce his pregnant wife with abortion drugs.
According to the Associated Press, 39-year-old attorney Mason Herring pleaded guilty on Wednesday to “injury to a child and assault of a pregnant person.” His wife Catherine Herring, who’s filing for divorce, thinks the jail time isn’t enough.
She said her husband had attempted to kill the pre-born child seven separate times. Her now 1-year-old daughter suffers from severe developmental problems because of that.
However, Mason’s attorney argues the plea deal and sentencing are reasonable since Mason has accepted responsibility for his actions.
